Online Classes
Classroom Format The courses are conducted by a facilitator competent in the field. Reading materials, personal assignments, and discussion questions are provided. The heart of the class is the discussion questions. This is where you will be able to share ideas and get feedback with others in the class.
The format is "asynchronous." That means it is not "live" so you can determine what time of day you want to be online. You will receive the equivalent of 8 hours of regular classroom instruction within a 4 day time period each week. (This is usually Monday through Thursday.) Classes may run 1 to 4 weeks depending on the subject. You will be involved approximately 2-3 hours per day, which includes reading course materials, doing activities, and participating in the class discussions.
Registering for a Specific Class A 3 month schedule of course dates is listed under Register for Class. This is also where you can pay by PayPal. When you do, your registration information is sent to us and we will then contact you to give you the passcode to enter the class and any other important information for class. Or, if you prefer to pay by check, please fill out the contact form that goes directly to us.
By registering, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions, so please be sure to review the contents. Back to Top
How to Sign into Classroom (for Visitors and Students) We use the Invision Power Board for our classroom. This requires everyone to register for the Board. This is different from signing up for a specific class. The information required is not used for any other purpose.
When you first enter the Invision Board registration screen, choose your own personal screen name and password. This information is stored so that you only have to do this once and then you will use this each time you wish to access the Classroom Area. Once you are in the Classroom Area, there will be a list of ongoing classes. A classroom passcode is given after registering and paying for the class which will give you access to the course material as well as the discussion area or main classroom.
If you are "just visiting," you will also need to register with the Invision Board in order to enter the Classroom Area. This is done by creating a screen name and password which you may continue to use to enter the classroom area in the future. There is no charge for this. After entering the classroom area, there is a "Preview" class that is not passcode protected that you can enter to check out how the classroom works. Any questions, please feel free to contact us.
